The short version
- Your photos stay on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded.
- There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
- We don't collect any data about you or your kids.
This policy covers the Looky Looky app for iPhone (bundle ID com.lookylooky.app) and this website. “We” means the developer of Looky Looky.
What we collect
Nothing. Looky Looky doesn't send any information to us or to anyone else. There is no account or sign-in. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
The camera
Looky Looky uses the rear camera to show you a live preview and take the photos you ask for.
- Live preview frames are processed on your iPhone only. They are never stored or sent anywhere. Only the photos you take are saved, to your Photos library.
- When Auto is on, the app uses Apple's Vision framework, on your iPhone, to detect whether faces are pointed at the phone (head direction). It doesn't identify who anyone is, and nothing from this check is saved.
- Looky Looky doesn't use the microphone. Its sounds are made by the app.
Your photos
Looky Looky asks for permission to add photos to your Photos library. That “add only” access lets it save new photos; it can't see or read the photos already in your library. The photos you take go only to your Photos library. After that, they're yours, under the same settings as the rest of your library (for example, iCloud Photos if you've turned it on).
Settings
Your choices in the app, such as the character you picked and whether Auto, 3-2-1 and Burst are on, are stored on your iPhone. They're deleted when you delete the app.
Kids
Looky Looky is made for parents to use. Kids just watch the characters on the outer screen. We don't collect any personal information from or about children, or from anyone else.
Apple services
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports with us. You control this in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements. If the app ever offers optional purchases, Apple handles payment through the App Store and we never see your payment details.
This website
This website has no cookies, analytics or trackers, and it doesn't load anything from other sites. Like any website, the service that hosts it may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability. We don't use them to track you.
Your choices
- You can turn camera or Photos access off at any time. Open the Settings app, find Looky Looky, then turn off Camera or change Photos.
- The photos you take live in the Photos app. Delete them there, like any other photo.
- Deleting Looky Looky removes its settings from your iPhone.
- We don't hold any data about you, so there's nothing for us to delete. If you have questions, email us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
